What is fever | Causes, Symptoms, Prevention from fever

Fever is a condition when a human’s body temperature goes above the normal range of 36–37° Centigrade (98–100° Fahrenheit). It is a common medical sign. Normal temperature for an adult and a child is 37°C, however, it also depends on individual variations which may cause minor fluctuations depending on the time of the day.

Finally, Normal body temperature will be determined by:

A person’s age.
Time of the day or night.
The part of the body you take the temperature from.
Recent activities that they have been carrying out.
A high body temperature, or fever, is one of the ways in which our immune system associate attempt|tries to combat an infection.

Usually, Raise the body temperature helps the individual resolve a virus. However, sometimes it may increase too high, in which case, the fever can be serious and lead to difficulties. Body temperature in 37-39°C is considered in a moderate. Anything from 39-42 is high fever and above 42.4°C the high body temperature is very serious and can cause severe long-lasting damage.

Symptoms of a fever:
A fair thermometer will give you an accurate reading of body temperature, so that is your first and best indicator of a fever.  However, a fever will be accompanied by some of the following symptoms.

  • Sweating
  • Shivering
  • A headache
  • Dehydration
  • General weakness
  • Muscle aches
  • Loss of appetite
  • depression
    problems concentrating

If the fever is high, there may also be extreme irritation, confusion, hallucination, and seizures.

Remember that toddlers get fevers for a range of reasons. Moderate temperatures last for only a few days and are usually symptomatic of a viral or bacterial infection that is reliable.

 Causes of fever:

Huge body temperature occurs when an area in your mind understood as the hypothalamus also known as your body’s “thermostat”  turns the point of your usual body temperature up. when this seems, you will feel chilled and add layers of clothing or cover up in a blanket, or you could vibrate to generate a lot of body heat, finally resulting in a high body temperature.

However; Fever or high body temperature might be caused by:

  • A virus
  • A bacterial infection.
  • Some medications, such as antibiotics and drugs used to treat high blood pressure or seizures.
  • Certain inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Some immunizations, such as tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis.

 

Sometimes the cause of a fever can’t be recognized. If you have an illness for more than three weeks and your doc isn’t able to detect the problem after large evaluation, the analysis may be the fever of unknown origin.

Prevention:

Although, You may be able to secure from fevers by reducing exposure to infectious diseases. So here are some tips that can help you to prevent fever:

Keep clean your hands: Especially before eating, after using the bathroom, once spending time in a very crowd or around somebody who’s sick, when kissing animals, and during travel on public transportation.

Try to avoid touching your nose, eyes, and mouth: Because these are the main areas in which viruses and bacteria can enter your body and cause infection.

Or don’t share cups, water bottle, and equipment with your child or children.

Cover your mouth when you cough and your nose when you sneeze: Teach your children to do likewise. As much as possible, pull away from others once coughing or sneezing to avoid passing bacteria along to them.

Teach your children how to wash their hands completely, However; including both the front and back of each hand with soap and cleaning completely under running water. Because all bacteria will die to wash with this method.
